Heartfelt Creations Romantique Garden Release

Happy Friday!

Lots going on today at Heartfelt Creations! First, today is the release of the new Romantique Garden Collection!

Love is in full bloom with the Romantique Garden collection from Heartfelt Creations. A romantic symphony composed in subtle shades of pink, fuchsia, green, cream and charcoal harmonizes beautifully with picturesque images of dainty hummingbirds, devoted love birds, graceful swans and delicate bleeding heart bushes. Ornate ironwork backgrounds are in perfect harmony with layered elements of vintage sheet music, lace, flowing handwriting, scrollwork, florals, stripes and flourishes. Six hand drawn stamp sets capture the idyllic beauty of a peaceful garden where swans glide across the surface of a glassy lake, nesting lovebirds are wreathed in flowers, and hummingbirds sip nectar from blossom laden branches of exquisite beauty. The coordinating die cuts feature elegant swirled stems, a graduated set of bleeding heart blossoms and a majestic pair of swimming swans. Dreamy and idyllic, uplifting and inspiring, romantic and moving as a masterfully scored concerto, this enchanting collection is a celebration of love and life amidst the extraordinary beauty of nature.

Next, there are some fun Black Friday specials going on today only!  You can check them all out here on the HC Blog!

Here is my first card using this beautiful new collection!

Such a sweet image of birds and bleeding hearts!  I colored this and the flowers with pencils and mineral spirits.  The flowers are from an old Posy Patch stamp and die that go with this image perfectly.  I love that HC often designs their new products to go with older ones!  The leaves and corner flourish are from the Cut Mat Create Collection, I love both of these under the flowers.

Be sure to visit the HC Blog today to see the gorgeous collection of projects by the designers this week along with some fun Black Friday specials to indulge in if you choose!

I'm submitting this to the Word Art Wednesday Challenge #160 - Anything Goes.

Blessings!

Kathy

Sun Kissed Thank You

Happy Wednesday!

It's time for a little inspiration from Heartfelt Creations!  This week I have a little thank you note using Sun Kissed flowers and a floral flourish from the Cut Mat Create Collection.

The card base is made using the large rounded rectangle die from the Cut Mat Create Collection.  The sentiment is from the Arianna Bird Haven Set. I cut the floral flourish with white card stock and glued it directly on the card base.  The Sun Kissed flowers are stamped with Victorian Velvet Ink, cut with the matching die and then inked with Razz-Berry Chalk Ink.  I love this Razz-Berry color!  After shaping the flowers I added Prills to the centers and then glued them to the card.  I then added some White Opal Liquid Pearls to the flourish to all a little dimension.  (If you would like a closer look, you can click on the picture for a better view.)

Be sure to visit the HC Blog to see all the beautiful creations by the designers this week!  There's a beautiful variety of collections used and I love seeing all the new designers work!

Pink Poinsettia Ornament - Heartfelt Creations

Happy Wednesday!

It's time for a little inspiration from Heartfelt Creations!  This week I have a little Christmas ornament to show you!

In real life this is actually really pretty!  It's one of those projects that is just plain difficult to photo!  If you click on the photo itself, you can get a better view of it if you like.

The base of the ornament is made using the Raindrops on Roses Die. The flower is the Christmas Poinsettia done with white card stock, heat embossed with white powder and colored with chalk ink.  The full instructions are at the bottom of my post if you would like to try it out for Christmas gifts this year!

Be sure to visit the HC Blog to see all the beautiful creations by the designers this week!  There's also a sneak peek of the collection being released on Black Friday!

Other Products:

Paper: Solar White (Neenah)
Ink: VersaMark Watermark, Perfect Plumeria (VersaMagic)
Accessories: make-up applicator, 1/8" Scor-tape, metal charm, bead, spacer, 1/8" pink ribbon (Offray), White Seam Binding, Pearlized String Beads, Bow-Easy Tool (Really Reasonable Ribbon), Diamond Stickles (Ranger), glue gun, Bazzills Splat Mat, White Embossing Powder (Stampin Up), orange stick, adhesive pearls (Recollections), heat tool.

Instructions:

Using white card stock and the Raindrops on Roses Die, die cut 6 Lattice Pieces. Score each piece down center point to point of longer side and crease. Glue half piece at a time with another half using the glue and metal glue tip leaving last 2 side open. (Follow the same technique Emma Lou used in making the dimensional tree card here.) Cut a 16" piece of 1/8" pink ribbon. Thread ribbon through charm and then the bead spacer. Add strip of Scor-Tape down center of ornament where all the scored pieces meet. Lay the ribbon inside onto Scor-Tape to secure in place. Glue last two side together to form ornament. Cut approximately 10" piece of Pearlized String Beads, make loop and glue to top of ornament with glue gun. Make 5 loop bow with White Seam Binding and bow tool. Glue over beads where they cross each other using glue gun.

Stamp Christmas Poinsettia image on Solar White with VersaMark Ink and heat emboss with White Embossing Powder. Die cut with Sun Kissed Fluer Die. Select 3 flowers (I used the 2nd, 4th, and 6th largest blooms) and color with Perfect Plumeria Ink and make up applicator. I shaped the flowers using the mat and pressing the end of an orange stick down the center of each petal and then using the Paper Blossoms tools to press in the center. Glue flowers together, offsetting petals, using Art Institute Glue. Add adhesive pearl to flower center and outline pearl with Diamond Stickles. Add flower to bow center using glue gun. Tie knot on top of pink ribbon for hanging ornament. Thread ribbon through metal bead and glue over knot to cover it.

Thinking About You - Heartfelt Creations

Happy Wednesday!

It's that time of the week when I get to show you a little inspiration from Heartfelt Creations!  This week I have a pretty "thinking of you" card using some Majestic Morning flowers and Burst of Splendor leaves.

I love the look of these images embossed with Aged Ivory Embossing Enamel and colored with chalk inks and make up applicators.  Such a soft pretty look that's easy to do!  Love the Mini Prills in the flower centers too!  Here's a little close up of the flowers for you.  (You can also click on the photos for a closer view.)

The pretty bow is made with fibers leftover from my days as a weaver.  I still have the loom and tons of fibers that I like to add to my projects sometimes.  I'm not sure if I'll ever get back into weaving as it's really hard on my back, but I don't want to part with my beautiful loom and my large stash of fibers!

For my card base, I used my new borders die that I've been wanting for ages, Spellbinder's A2 Bracket Borders One.  I love the look of it as a border, so pretty!

Be sure to visit the HC Blog to see all the beautiful creations by the designers this week!  The new designers projects are just beautiful!

Accessories: heat tool, Bow-Easy, Aged Ivory Embossing Enamel (Stampendous), fibers (my stash), adhesive pearls (Recollections), make up applicators, Aleene's Fast Grab Glue, Spellbinders A2 Bracket Borders One.

Instructions: Cut Baby Pink card stock 5 1/2" x 8 3/4". Die cut short side with A2 Bracket Borders One and then trim to 5 1/2" x 8 1/2". Score at 4 1/4" and fold to make a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card base. Cut Natural White card stock 4 1/4" x 5 3/8". Die cut long side with A2 Bracket Borders One using 2 dies together to create border as pictured. Trim down to 3 7/8" x 5 3/8". Stamp Heartfelt Expressions sentiment with Onyx Black Ink on mat as pictured. Add to card base with pop dots.

Stamp Majestic Morning Background on Natural White with VersaMark Ink and heat emboss from underneath with Aged Ivory Embossing Enamel. Do the same with the Open Leaf Set using 2 of the 5-leaf and 1 of the 8-leaf images. Color the flowers with chalk inks (I used Perfect Plumeria and then Spanish Olive on one small flower) to create 3 separate flowers in varying sizes. Die cut with Majestic Blooms Die, spritz lightly on back with water and then shape with mat and tool kit. Die cut stems with Classic Leaf Die, color with Spanish Olive Ink and shape with fingers as desired. Arrange leaves and the 2 larger flowers as shown and glue down with Art Institute Glue. Make multi-loop bow with fibers and bow tool and glue over leaves using Aleene's Fast Grab Glue. Add third smaller flower to bow center using Aleene's Fast Grab Glue. Add Tu-Tu Pink Prills to pink flowers and Minnie Pearls to green flower using Art Institute Glue. Add 2 adhesive pearls to top right.
