Here is my take on the Challenge:

I just love pink and green, and I really love this Bazzill's "Fussy" color.  It's so bright and cheery!

I stamped the verse in black at first, but it looked too "harsh" for the colors and embellishments I used.  So, I ended up using "Snow" Pearl Embossing Powder by Recollections.  It's hard to see in the photo, but it's a pretty, subtle shade and goes nicely with the card.

I also used my new purchase from Really Reasonable Ribbon, this beautiful wrinkled ribbon.  When I won the candy for them from True's Blog, I just had to purchase some more things that I have wanted.  :-D  Their ribbon is beautiful, and really is super reasonable!!!

Here are the ingredients I used:

Papers: Fussy (Bazzills), Solar White (Neenah), Springtime Vintage DSP (SU), Watercolor Bouquet (K&Co)
Ink:  VersaMark, Spanish Olive (VersaMagic)
Accessories: Snow Pearl Embossing Powder (Recollections), adhesive pearls and swirls (Rec.), Pearl Gems  (K&Co), rhinestones, flowers  (Rec. & Prima), Parisian Accents, Labels 18, Fleur de lis Squares (Spellbinders), monarch butterfly punch, medium branch punch (Martha Stewart), perfect polka dots EF (SU), Dazzling Diamonds (SU), lace & trims (Jo-Anns), piercer, charm, chain, wrinkled ribbon (Really Reasonable Ribbon).

Now on to our challenge teams inspiring creations for this challenge:

Pink Daisy Notepad - Elphine House Challenge

Hi there!

It's time for another challenge at Elphine House Australia! This time it's "Anything Goes"! How easy is that!  You can use ANY Elisabeth Bell stamp or image, not just EHA, so you have lots to choose from!

Here is my sample for the challenge...sorry, I can't resist using "Daisy"! She's SO sweet and so much fun to color!

I was in the mood for pinks and browns on this one! Such a pretty combination! I used the Sending Love Specialty paper from Stampin Up, I love this one particular paper from the collection, and I've been saving it for something special.

I decided to make a junior notepad cover for this one, it makes a beautiful gift! I used the Junior Notepad tutorial on Split Coast Stampers under "Resources-Tutorials-Junior Legal Pad" which you can find here. I adapted it to use the full size legal pad, not the pad cut in half. As usual, I love to take things and change it up a little.  Using this tutorial as a base, you can adapt it to cover all kinds of notepads.  One of these days, I need to my own tutorial!

Here is the inside of the note pad:

I added a favorite Bible verse inside, Proverbs 3:5,6, for encouragement.  This stamp is from the Scripture Collection #2 from Our Daily Bread Designs which you can find here.  I love the Scripture Collections from ODBD, I use them all the time for all kinds of occasions.  The inside is decorated with matching paper from the same designer paper collection and a couple of butterflies with pearls.  I try not to put too many embellishments inside so it closes nicely.

Here is a photo from above it:

Here is a close up photo of Daisy...so sweet!

I am also entering this in two other challenges. The Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge #123, to make a heart stand out on your card/project which you can find here.  I hope my heart(s) stand out enough! The focus for the challenge is:

Scripture: "Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart." Proverbs 3:3

The other challenge is from Cheery Lynn Designs for Challenge #12, to do dry embossing.  You can find the challenge here.  The butterflies and mats are embossed, and I used my one and only Cheery Lynn die (wish I had more), Fanciful Flourish.  I love the delicateness of this flourish.

For all the ingredients, please see my post here in my Split Coast Stampers Gallery!

Hope to see join in on the EHA Challenge! It's getting to be a lot more popular, Yeah!!! Blessings!

Mirabelle Birthday Blessings - Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge

Hi everyone, happy Friday!

I wanted to share with you a card I made with Our Daily Bread Design's "Happy Birthday" Set and new paper I bought called Mirabelle by The Paper Studio.

I love the vintage look of this paper, so pretty!  Even though it's  larger than normal, 4 1/2' x 6 1/2", I wanted to have the frame on the paper included.  I love the way it came out, and there's lots more in the matstack to work with that's just as pretty!

I also used my new Labels 20 dies from Spellbinders. I LOVE the curvy shape of these dies! I think it fits the Psalm 118:24 verse beautifully!  I plan to check out my other verses to see what fits in these dies too!

I'm entering this card in the latest challenge at Stampin Sisters in Christ #122 to use something new! The verse for the challenge is Rev. 21:5. You can see the challenge here and read all about it if you would like to join in!  The winner wins two prizes from Nina Brackett of Nina B. Designs.

For the ingredients|

Stamps: Happy Birthday (ODBD) for the verse, Garden Flower Set (Inkadinkado) for the sentiment and bird
Paper: Mirabelle (The Paper Studio), dark chocolate (Papertry Ink), kraft (SU)
Ink: vintage sepia (Versafine), wheat, gingerbread (Versamagic)
Accessories: sponge, fabric, fiber, adhesive pearls, buttons, brad, spacer bead, 2-step bird punch (SU), petite petals punch (McGill), labels 20, classic scalloped ovals large dies (Spellbinders).

Well, that's it for now!

Blessings!

Elphine House Australia Challenge Vintage

Hi everyone!

It's time for a new challenge at Elphine House Australia! This past challenge we had 11 entries!!! That's so awesome! Now we're going for 15!

Elisabeth Bell's images are SO adorable and so special! There's lots to choose from for the challenge! I love every one of them, especially those  with Daisy!

For this next challenge, you need to do a card or project with a "vintage" feel to it! I love vintage, this one was a fun one for me! Here's my take on the challenge:

This stamp is called "Laura Flower Girl" from EHA. She's so sweet and pretty. I wanted to do this in a monotone, I love monotone. I used the pinkish paper (Watercolor Bouquet - K&Co) for the color inspiration. I matched up the colors on the image with my Prismacolor Pencils and blended with mineral spirits. I die cut the image using Spellbinders Labels 9, which I just bought. I love the shape of these dies for framing an image! I stenciled the die cuts with VersaMark wheat (stamp image) and sahara sand (pink die cut). The card base is from my stash that is embossed with the "Ornate Flowers" embossing folder by Sizzix and inked with VersaMark wheat shade.

For all the ingredients:

Stamps: Laura Flower Girl (Elphine House Australia)
Paper: Very vanilla (SU), natural white (Neenah), French Country Stack, gold (DCWV)
Ink: Vintage sepia (VersaFine), wheat and sahara sand (VersaMark).
Accessories: Ornate flowers EF (Sizzix), sponge, medium branch punch (Martha Stewart), ribbon, adhesive pearls, flowers (Michaels), Labdls 9 dies(Spellbinders), pearl string (my stash), Prismacolor pencils, mineral spirits.

I hope to see you join us in the EHA Challenge this next 2 weeks! You can use ANY Elisabeth Bell stamp or image! The winner receives their choice of 2 EHA Stamps!!! You can read all about it here. Blessings!

Happy Monday!!!

It's definitely a happy Monday for me! Wow, I just found out that I made it through the second round of the Spellbinders Design Team Contest! You can read all about it here on their blog, if you would like!

What an amazing journey this has been for me so far. I honestly didn't think I had a chance, but I decided it couldn't hurt to try. Wow, I'm so glad I did!

Now onto the third and final round. This time I'll be doing a scrapbook page, which I haven't done in quite a while. That's okay though, I'm definitely up for the challenge. God has been with me so far, equiping me with what I need. I pray, if it's His will, that He will continue to do so. Praise the Lord for His abundant blessings and I give ALL the Glory to Him!

ODBD Stamping In Time Challenge (SNTCODBD51)

Here it is!!! My first post as an Our Daily Bread Team Member!!! How exciting!!!

It is time for ODBD Stamping In Time Challenge (SNTODBD51)! The Challenge this rotation is all about 2012! Or, at least the numbers that make up the year. Like 2-0-1-2. The numbers are a formula or recipe for how much we can add or not add to our card! Any stamps are allowed; however, if you use ODBD stamps you are entered twice for the win! Play as often as you like! The more you play the more you increase you chances to win!

2- Use two of something

0- Use zero of something (list what it is....no dp? No die cuts?)

1- Use one of something

2- Use two of something else

For today's card, I am using ODBD Scripture Collection 2. I love Proverbs 3:5,6. This Collection of Scripture Verses, along with the other collections, can be used for a lot of different themes and I love having them on hand. I actually had this already stamped and die-cut from a while back and had it filed in my recipe card box with my other "leftovers" from projects. If you missed my post about how I organize my die-cuts, mats, card bases, images, etc, you can read about it here on the post!

Please stop by and check out the other team members who are playing along this week. They have some beautiful creations to share with you!
