Yellow Roses - JustRite Color Challenge

Hi there!

I made this Yellow Roses card for the latest challenge at JustRite to use yellow, grey, charcoal and neutral.



I love yellow roses, but I find it hard to color them and have them look real.  This is what I came up with.  I'm not totally happy with it, but it's not too bad.  I colored this with pencils and mineral spirits and inked the edges a little with yellow chalk ink.

Card recipe:

Stamp: With Sympathy (JustRite)
Paper: Solar White (Neenah), Pollen (Bazzills), Neutral Cardstock Stack (DCWV)
Ink: Onyx Black (VersaFine), Banana Bliss (Powder Puff)
Accessories: Nested Oval Medallion Labels (JustRite/Spellbinders), Bow-Easy, sponge, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder (Sizzix), Pewter Ribbon (Offray), flower (Recollections), silver brads, mineral spirits, Prismacolor Pencils: Olive Green, Black, Canary Yellow, Deco Yellow, Sunburst Yellow, Goldenrod

    This is just SO pretty, Kathy. I also played along in the JustRite challenge, but my card is not nearly as lovely. Your cards always have a way of making me happy, and I'm just SO grateful every single time I see your art linked up in our challenges.
