Dream in Beauty - Heartfelt Creations

Happy Wednesday!

It's time for a little Heartfelt Creations inspiration! Today I have another card created using the Butterfly Medley Collection.

I used the Dream in Beauty Set for the main image by heat embossing it on a piece of the designer paper. I add flowers and butterflies to it that were heat embossed on cream card stock and colored with chalk inks. You'll find detailed instructions for this at the end of my post if you would like them.

Visit the HC Blog to see what the designers came up with this week! So many beautiful creations with lots of flowers and butterflies!

I'm submitting this to the following challenge:

Word Art Wednesday Challenge #171 - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by to visit!

Blessings!

Kathy

Paper: Natural White (Neenah), DCWV Neutrals Stack, Sage Shadow (Stampin Up)
Inks: VersaMark, Antique Linen (Ranger), Turquoise Gem, Sahara Sand, Pumpkin Spice, Spanish Olive (VersaMagic)
Accessories: Diamond Stickles, adhesive pearls, Bow-Easy Tool, fibers (stash), distressing tool, Aged Ivory Embossing Enamel (Stampendous), heat tool, make-up applicators, pop dots, glue dots, water mini mister, Fast Grab Tacky Glue (Aleene's).

Instructions: Make 4 1/4" x 5 1/4" card base with Sage Shadow. Cut peach mat measuring 4 1/8" x 5 1/8". On aqua designer paper, stamp the Dream in Beauty image with VersaMark and heat emboss from underneath with Aged Ivory Embossing Enamel. Trim image to 4" x 5", distress edges with tool, ink edges with Antique Linen and glue to peach mat. Add mats to card base with pop dots.

On Natural White with VersaMark Ink, stamp large butterfly (Botanical Wings), butterflies (Butterfly Medley), flowers and leaves (Botanical Rose) and heat emboss from underneath with Aged Ivory Embossing Enamel. Color selected pieces (pictured) lightly with chalk inks using make-up applicators. (Use Sahara Sand lightly over the Turquoise Gem to tone down the color.) Spray back of flowers and leaves with water, then shape with mat and tool kit. Spray back of butterflies with water, shape wings by rolling them over a pencil, turn over, then press pencil down center body over mat. Let all pieces dry. Assemble flower using Art Institute Glue (AIG). Make multi-loop fiber bow with Bow-Easy Tool. Glue leaves, bow and flower to top left using Fast Grab Tacky Glue. Glue butterflies as pictured using AIG for the bodies and Double Dots under the wings of the largest butterfly. Add adhesive pearls to flower center and top right of card. Add Diamond Stickles to flower center around pearl and to butterfly bodies.

    1. Lorna, the gold speckles are in the Aged Ivory Embossing Enamel along with the cream color. As long as you apply the heat from underneath, you get the little melted gold pieces. Thank you, I love the look too!
