Be Joyful

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in EVERYTHING by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the PEACE OF GOD, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:4-7

These are verses I memorized years ago and they are written on my heart. There are times when I still need to remember not to be anxious, but I eventually listen to my heart saying these verses. I didn't really understand what the "peace of God" was until I experienced it. It's having peace inside you, even when you're going through heartbreaking situations and trials. It does "surpass ALL understanding" and you know it comes from GOD alone. Praise the Lord for His wonderful promises!

I love, love, love what I do. I am passionate about the things I create and the talents God has placed in me. I SO appreciate the time you take to look at my things and the comments you all leave me!

Blessings to you!

Kathy

Lavender Roses Anniversary Frame Card

Happy Wednesday!

It's time for a little inspiration from Heartfelt Creations! We are also doing a cross promotion with Creative Embellishments today featuring their amazing line of chipboard!

For my card I'm using the beautiful Classic Rose and Blushing Rose Collections along with a Fancy Oval Frame Chipboard from Creative Embellishments.

The flowers were stamped with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed with Aged Ivory Embossing Enamel. They were colored with chalk inks using make-up applicators and die cut with their matching dies.

The chipboard frame was painted with acrylic paint twice and then coated with VersaMark Ink and embossed with Aged Ivory Embossing Enamel.

Blushing Rose Background

Happy Wednesday!

This week I have a card made with the Blushing Rose Background image from Heartfelt Creations' Blushing Rose Collection that was released last week.

I stamped the image, colored it with pencils and mineral spirits, then trimmed it down to fit nicely on the card. The "Beautiful" banner portion of the image was stamped a second time, colored with pencils and die cut with the matching die from the Blushing Rose Swirls Die. I then popped it on the card over the original image.

Violet Blushing Rose Swirl

Happy Wednesday!

It's time for the new Blushing Rose Collection release from Heartfelt Creations! Here is a little more about the collection.

Soft in hues and striking in patterns, this newest rose themed release will have you reminiscing of old fine bone china, lace tablecloths, and elegantly wallpapered sitting rooms. Delicate images of swirling roses, fluttering butterflies and vintage scripted postcards nestled among old fashioned wallpaper like stripes, beautiful brocades and decorative lace accents have been gently set against calming tones of pale yellows, mixed blends of greenish blues, and soft lilacs. Lovely rose clustered embellishments featuring open blossoms, delicate rose buds and swirling foliage, along with a charming banner are handsome embellishments ideal for bringing a touch of old world charm to all of your paper crafting creations. Stunningly shaped roses in vintage yellow hues, paired with charming shades of muted blues bring greetings of Friendship, Thanks, Get Well Wishes and Thoughts of Encouragement. Simply add a touch of flower shaping, a kiss of ink, along with a sprinkling of glitter and your creations are ready to be assembled and gifted!

For my card this week I used the Blushing Rose Swirls Set for this beautiful flower image and the matching Blushing Rose Swirls Die. The image was colored with pencils and mineral spirits and popped onto a partial embossed white mat. The sentiment, stamped below the embossed area, is from the Encouraging You Set.

Violet Friendship Rose

Happy Wednesday!

I'm back with another card using the Classic Rose Collection from Heartfelt Creations! This is a fairly simple one using one of the card fronts from the Classic Rose Paper Collection, a pretty friendship sentiment stamped directly on it and an added flower to match.

Here's a little close up of the flower.

For the flower I used the Classic Rose Cling and matching Classic Rose Die. They were colored with pencils and mineral spirits using paper stumps and shaped using the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit. Emma Lou has a great video tutorial on how to shape roses using this collection you can find here.
