Hi everyone!
Well, I went to the doctor yesterday and my thumb isn't broken thankfully. I just have a cyst on my knuckle that will hopefully go away with Advil in the next couple weeks! If not, I'll have to have it removed. I'd be so sad if I couldn't do my coloring...it's my favorite thing to do!
Thank you for you're prayers!
Blessings!

Slight Hinderance
Well, my favorite thing to do is coloring with my pencils. Unfortunately, I'm having lots of trouble right now with my right thumb. I fell a couple of weeks ago in the kitchen...I hurt my thumb and now it's hurting even more. I had an x-ray today and go to doctor Monday to see what the problem is. For now, it's painful to color :-( and pretty much anything else I need to do!
Oh, well! I guess I'll need to find other ways to be creative!
Blessings!

Daisy's Sweet Treats
Hi there!
I hope everyone is doing well! I have a little project to share with you using the stamp "Daisy Hugging Dolly" from Elphine House Australia. I love Elisabeth Bell's images, especially any with Daisy, she's so adorable!
This is a treat box I made with a detachable bookmark on the front of it. I made this for Elphine House's challenge to use sweet treats on your card/project. The box is from K&Co's Paper Boxes. I've had these for a long time, but hadn't used them yet. They're really pretty for gifts and have a bunch of die cuts to go with them.
I took lots of pictures of this so you could see everything. (I will list all the details on my Split Coast Gallery if you would like them.) This is the front of the box with the bookmark in place. I used the fancy tag diecut to hold the bookmark in place.
This is the back of the box with the bookmark in place.
This is the back without the bookmark.
This is the front without the bookmark.
This is the bookmark by itself. (Make sure to read all the way down, I have a really funny story about this picture.)
This is the label close up. I wrapped the sides of the label around the box and used a brad to secure it in place. Sorry, the picture is a little blurry.
This is the box opened up. It's really pretty with the 2-sided paper showing.
If you would like to join in the fun for the "Tasty Treats" challenge at Elphine House Australia, we would love you to join us. The challenge starts today and ends in 2 weeks. You can use ANY Elisabeth Bell image for this. The winner receives 2 EHA's stamps of their choice! Here's a link for the challenge where you can see more about it and the awesome Design Team's samples.
I am also entering this in the Split Coast Stamper's challenge WT342 to have a bookmark that's detachable. I really like the way the bookmark came out, and I may make more of these for gifts and maybe one for ME!
Now for the funny story. You may or may not have noticed, but the coloring I did on the bookmark in the first photo had a white space on Daisy's shoulder. I didn't notice it until after I had taken all the pictures. I had erased the color a little to get rid of a mark, but I got interrupted and never fixed it. So, being a perfectionist, I had to fix it for the bookmark only picture at least. Well, I took picture after picture and my camera just wouldn't focus...every single picture was completely blurry. I was getting so frustrated and couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. So, about 30 pictures later, taken in 5 different places, I realized the pictures weren't blurry at all, I just didn't have my glasses on. LOL!!!
I would just like to say, I LOVE what I do, I'm so excited to use the talents God has given me. I hope I can somehow use them to glorify Him to others! Anyone out there who doesn't know God as their Savior, you are missing SO much. I use to try to do IT on my own, wow, now I wouldn't think of doing anything without Him! I hope you all have God with you in your heart.
Blessings to you!

Countryside Birthday
Hi there!
This is a card I made up yesterday. The truck image makes a nice masculine card which I can always use more of. This is from the Countryside stamp set from Stampin Up and also includes a sentiment from Vintage Labels from SU.
For papers I used gracen red solid (Making Memories), black (SU), solar white (Neenah), and playtimes past jack & jill from Graphic 45. I used black ink Versafine, wheat and red brick from Versamagic. I colored this with my Prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits.
The other items I used are ticket punch (SU), square punch (EKS), large labels die (Spellbinders), buttons, brads, linen thread (SU), sanding block to attempt distressing, and ribbon that I did twice to make it wider.
Thank you for looking!
Blessings!

Merry Snowman
Hi there!
I have another Christmas card to show you, this time no pinks! This is a stamp from Serendipity called "Snowman & Birdhouse". I colored this image last month while I was on vacation using my Prismacolor pencils. Finally got around to making it into a card.
The sentiment is from Short & Sweet (SU). The papers used are solar white (Neenah), real red (SU), mat pack earth (DCWV), and typhoon (Bazzills). For ink I used black (VersaFine). Other accessories used are Aleene's paper glaze, crystal snow (Stampendous), diamond stickles, piercer, snowflake punch (Marvy), square punch (EKS), large labels (Spellbinders), floss, weaving fibers, buttons, marker (SU), Prismacolor pencils, and mineral spirits.
Thanks for looking!
Blessings!

Pink Christmas Tree
Hi there!
I have a new Christmas card I made with a stamp set I recently bought used. It's been around a while, but I think it's pretty. I bought this pink embossing powder, and I thought this image is perfect for embossing.
I've been saying I want to do pinks for Christmas, so here you go! Who says Christmas has to be red and green anyway! I guess it doesn't really matter what the colors are, as long as you remember the REAL reason for Christmas!
The picture of this really doesn't do it justice...I need to take a photography class or something!
For stamps I used Scandinavian Season, Short & Sweet from Stampin Up. Papers are solar white (Neenah) and Chablis (Brazzill). I love this pink color! I used versa mark for the images and embossed with party pink embossing powder from Recollections. It matches this paper perfectly. For the other accessories: adhesive pearls, petite petals punch (McGill), modern label punch (SU), classic oval large (Spellbinders), scrollwork embossing folder (Cuttlebug), sponge, and diamond Stickles. It's a good thing I'm detailed!
This is a pretty and fairly quick card to do...I may do a bunch of this for Christmas, and they don't all need to be pink either! Thanks for looking!
Blessings!

Wedding Ring Bearer
Hi Everyone!
Wow, three posts in one day!!
I have a new stamp from Elphine House Australia called "Harry Ring Bearer" by Elisabeth Bell. He's so cute! He reminds me of when my son Cameron was a ring bearer at our babysitter's wedding. He was only 4 at the time. There he was is his little tuxedo holding the pillow with the rings tied on it. He was SO adorable and so proud to be doing his "big job" along with his brother Daniel (who was 5) whose job it was to hold the Bride's train. The 2 of them were so cute and so serious about their job. This stamp totally reminds me of that time.
Here's the outside:
Here's the inside:
In addition to "Harry Ring Bearer" Stamp, I used "Wedding" from American Crafts for the flourish and sentiment. The paper is solar white from Neenah, Eva (Basic Grey), and Ash from Bazzill.
I used black from Versafine for ink and colored with my Prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits.
There are lots of accessories used on this, which I will post on my Split Coast Stampers' Gallery. Please click on the link for my gallery if you would like more information.
If you would like to purchase this stamp, or see the other Elisabeth Bell stamps they have, hop over to their website here and see all the adorable stamps they have!

Our Daily Bread Designs - SNTODBD44 & ODBDSLC78
Hi there! I made this card using Scripture Collection #2 from Our Daily Bread Designs. This is a beautiful verse from Psalms...I love the words "dwells" and "rest". How wonderful to dwell and rest in the Lord. There's no place else I would rather be!
The papers I used for this are "Roam" from K & Co., very vanilla and certainly celery from Stampin Up. The ink is dark chocolate from Palette and gingerbread and wheat from Versafine. I will be submitting this to ODBD Challenge of distressing or inking. This is about the most distressing I can do, as I usually don't do it at all. I'll put more of the details in my Split Coast Stampers' Gallery, if you would like more! Thanks for looking! Blessings! Kathy
