Be Joyful

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in EVERYTHING by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the PEACE OF GOD, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:4-7

These are verses I memorized years ago and they are written on my heart. There are times when I still need to remember not to be anxious, but I eventually listen to my heart saying these verses. I didn't really understand what the "peace of God" was until I experienced it. It's having peace inside you, even when you're going through heartbreaking situations and trials. It does "surpass ALL understanding" and you know it comes from GOD alone. Praise the Lord for His wonderful promises!

I love, love, love what I do. I am passionate about the things I create and the talents God has placed in me. I SO appreciate the time you take to look at my things and the comments you all leave me!

Blessings to you!

Heartfelt Creations - So Grateful for You

Happy Wednesday!

It's time for some inspiration from Heartfelt Creations!

For my card this week, I used more of the Sun Kissed Collection in orange and green.  The beautiful border on the bottom is from the Sun Kissed Fleur Border & Corner Set that was stamped with black and colored with pencils.  A second flower was done and glued on top of the middle flower.  The sentiment was heat embossed with green directly on the designer paper from the Sun Kissed Paper Collection.  The orange leaf swirls were made using the Gift Ensemble Dies.

For more inspiration, please visit the HC Blog to see all the gorgeous creations by the designers this week!  So many talented ladies!

Blessings!

Heartfelt Creations - Gift Box & Card

***This is my second post for today...if you are looking for my CottageCutz card, please see post below this!  Thank you!***

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Today I have a gift box and card set to show you!  Here is the card...

(Click on the photo for a closer look)

the box...

the other side of the box...

The flowers were all done by coloring with pencils on black cardstock using white embossing powder for the image.  I was playing around the other day with my pencils and decided to try coloring on black using white pencil as a base.  I love the way this came out with this bright teal color, so striking with the white!

The gift box is made by using the Gift Ensemble Die, cutting 4 pieces and gluing the sides together.  (You can see more about this in the video and the HC Blog.)  I decorated the sides of the box coloring on black as I did with the flowers.

On black cardstock, stamp flowers with VersaMark and heat emboss with white embossing powder.  Color flowers and leaves with pencils using White Pencil as a base before adding other colors.  Die Cut with matching die.  Use 4 of the flowers to make a flower using every other size and reserve the other 4 flowers for the box.  Cut 2 leave swirls with olive cardstock and arrange on card with flower and glue down.  Add bow and adhesive pearls.

CottageCutz Butterfly Spring Floral

Happy Wednesday!

Today I have a clean and simple card, which is extremely rare for me!  Actually, this may be the first!  The die I've used is the Butterfly Spring Floral from CottageCutz's new Bella Spring Release.

I used Solar White Cardstock for the diecut and colored it with chalk inks and makeup applicators.  I really love this technique of coloring!  I cut a second butterfly with a tiny piece of cardstock, colored it and glued it on top of the first one on the body only so the wings flap up.  (You can see it a little better if you click on the picture.)

This is the die that I used:

Card recipe:

CottageCutz Die: Butterfly Spring Floral
Stamp: Sentiments Collection (ODBD)
Paper: Whisper White (SU), Solar White (Neenah)
Ink: Onyx Black (VersaFine), Aloe Vera, Pixie Dust, Pink Grapefruit, Thatched Straw, Spring Pansy (VersaMagic)
Accessories: Bow-Easy, White Silk Ribbon (May Arts), adhesive pearls

Heartfelt Creations - Sun Kissed Wedding Card

Happy Wednesday!

I have a wedding card to show you today using Heartfelt Creations' Sun Kissed Collection that was released last week!

I used the Striped Sun Kissed Fleur Set this time and LOVE it on the vellum paper!  All I did was heat emboss the image with Snow Embossing Powder and die cut it with the matching die.  All 12 of these flowers are on ONE stamp and are cut with ONE die!  Just Awesome!  I colored mine with chalk inks and shaped them a little.  I love how they came out and I hope you do too!

My card is made almost entirely with these gorgeous specialty papers from Paper Temptress.  (The tag image with the sentiment was done on regular vellum instead of the Iridescent Vellum that I used with the flowers, but only because I ran out of their paper!) I love these for a wedding card with how the light softly reflects on it.  You can find their papers here on their website if you want to check them out.

I'm submitting this to the following challenges:

Please visit the HC Blog to see all the beautiful creations by the Designers this week!  Also, look to see if you won the entire release!

Here is my card for the challenge this week, I used a wood heart button.

I used the Sweet William Singles Set for my flowers.  I stamped the flowers on the Gold Cardstock, 5 small and 1 medium.  I fussy cut mine, but these coordinate with Spellbinder's Blossom 3 Dies if you have them or want to purchase them.  I used the embedded embossing technique on this where you glue the pieces on the paper and them dry emboss it.  The Fanciful Flourish and 3 of the small flowers were glued to the white cardstock and embossed.  I then added the remaining flowers on top of them.  It's a fun technique to try out!

Here is a picture of the set I used:

Card recipe:

Stamp: Sweet William Singles (Our Daily Bread Designs)
Paper: Gold Cardstock (The Paper Co), Papaya (Coordinations), Capers (Bazzills), Cream (DCWV)

CottageCutz Birthday Blessings

Happy Mother's Day!

I hope you are all having a wonderful Mother'sDay!  Today I have a birthday card to show you using the Oval Doily & Frame, Plumeria & Leaves and Garden Tabs CottageCutz Dies.

For my card, I started with a white card base and added a piece of green patterned paper to the upper portion.  I then embossed the front and wrapped a piece of ribbon around the card.  I cut the Oval Doily & Frame with white cardstock, stamped the sentiment on the smaller piece, and added it to the card base with pop dots.

The Plumeria & Leaves and Garden Tabs were cut with white cardstock and colored with Persimmon and Aloe Vera Chalk Inks using makeup applicators.  I shaped the flowers and leaves and added lines on the flowers with a stylus.  I arranged these around the doily with glue and glue dots.

The bird is made using the Garden Tabs Die that I cut with white cardstock and colored with chalk inks.  I added this to the doily with pop dots.  Adhesive pearls were added along with a little glitter using Paper Glaze.  I then added a bow with a pearl brad for the center.

These are the dies I used.

Card recipe:

Stamps: Birthday Blessings (Our Daily Bread Designs)

Heartfelt Creations May Release!

Happy Wednesday everyone!

It's time the new release from Heartfelt Creations!

We are pleased to introduce the Sun Kissed Fleur Collection. This collection includes 2 dies: the Gift Ensemble die (yes, you can make a fancy box with this die!) and the Sun Kissed Fleur die which cuts out 10 different flowers at a time. How's that for value?
The paper collection, called Sun Kissed Collection, comes in vibrant aquas and oranges and fades to light greens and yellows. The paper pack comes with 24 12 x 12 papers that have designs on both sides and are acid & lignen free. There are 2 sheets per design; some are dramatic; others are subdued.
You also have a wonderful selection of floral stamps to choose from: fancy tags, an overflowing basket, beautiful patterned backgrounds, borders and corners.
Leave a comment on the Heartfelt Creations blog by May 14th and you will be eligible to win the entire release valued at $180.91

Here is my first creation with the new collection:

I used this beautiful basket image from the Sun Kissed Tags & Basket Set and added some extra flowers from the Sun Kissed Fleur Set that has the matching die.  I colored the image with pencils and mineral spirits and fussy cut the image to pop in on the white embossed background inside the frame.  I added a couple of leaf swirls from the Gift Ensemble Die, cut from the designer paper and added the extra flowers to them.

The green frame was made by embossing with the Scrollwork Folder, die cutting the oval and trimming the outside up to the scrollwork design.  I kind of like how this came out!

You need to go the the Heartfelt Creations Blog to see Emma Lou's fabulous video showing you the collection!  I love how she does these videos showing and explaining everything!  You can also see all the designers beautiful creations this week, including all the new designers...wow, what a talented group of ladies!  Lastly, you need to leave a comment there for a chance to win the whole collection!

Thanks for stopping in today!

Blessings!

Kathy
