Be Joyful

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in EVERYTHING by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the PEACE OF GOD, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:4-7

These are verses I memorized years ago and they are written on my heart. There are times when I still need to remember not to be anxious, but I eventually listen to my heart saying these verses. I didn't really understand what the "peace of God" was until I experienced it. It's having peace inside you, even when you're going through heartbreaking situations and trials. It does "surpass ALL understanding" and you know it comes from GOD alone. Praise the Lord for His wonderful promises!

I love, love, love what I do. I am passionate about the things I create and the talents God has placed in me. I SO appreciate the time you take to look at my things and the comments you all leave me!

Blessings to you!

Kathy

Sunrise Lily Wishes

Happy Wednesday!

It's time for a little Heartfelt Creations inspiration!  Today I have a fairly easy card for you, once again using the Sunrise Lily Collection.

The mat/frame is from the Sunrise Lily Paper Collection which I created by die cutting the center using the Cut Mat Create 2B Die. I stamped this beautiful inspirational verse from the Sunrise Lily Wishes Set on white cardstock to place behind the frame opening.

The flowers are from the Sunrise Lily Swirls Set that I colored with pencils and mineral spirits, then die cut with the matching Sunrise Lily Swirls Die. I used Heart of Gold Prills for the flower centers and adhesive pearls to embellish the card.

Be sure to visit the Heartfelt Creations Blog to see all the beautiful creations by the designers this week! Emma Lou has also announced the Design Team Semi-Finalists!!!

Beautiful Sunrise Lilies

Happy Wednesday!

It's time for me to share another creation using the Sunrise Lily Collection! This week I have a fairly clean and simple card for you using lots of white which is a style I really like!

I love this Eyelet Oval Die and think it showcases the beautiful lily swirl images perfectly. The images were colored with pencils and mineral spirits and then cut with their matching dies. The sentiment is stamped directly on the oval and then the lily swirls were "popped" on the oval around it.

There is lots more inspiration on the Heartfelt Creations Blog this week so be sure to take a look!

Sunrise Lily Bouquet

Happy Wednesday!

It's time for the release of the new Sunrise Lily Collection! What a gorgeous floral collection this is!

Rich and regal in appearance, along with a divine fragrant beauty and ornamental trumpet shaped blossom makes the lily flower a well known garden variety and a sure sign that spring has sprung. Heartfelt Creations invites you to prepare to welcome the season of new beginnings, fresh starts and the bursting forth of nature with the new Sunrise Lily Collection. As the title of this assemblage suggests, it is filled with the romantic hues of a beautiful sunrise or sunset...glorious shades of pinks, oranges, and yellows which also reflect the stunning color palette of the lily blossoms as they appear in the gardens themselves. Ravishing shades of greens, creams and whites bring a crispness and a breath of fresh air just as the spring season itself. Patterned papers reveal regal ornamental iron like scroll work, dainty lace elements and lovely vintage like floral details. Beautiful imagery of lily filled vases, pretty flower adorned garden hats and luscious floral bouquets grace varying sized card panels, scrapbook layouts and embellishment tags, and are replicated in five sets of delicately detailed stamp illustrations. The crowning glory to the collection itself is the dimensional lily flower that will add a touch of reality to each of your springtime creations. So, chase away those winter blues brought on by old man winter, combat spring fever by filling your creative space with a touch of splendor as you begin creating with the Sunrise Lily Collection for the upcoming spring and Easter season.

Here is my first card using the new collection.

I used the Sunrise Lily Bouquet for the vase and flower bouquet and the Sunrise Lily Wishes for the pretty floral spray on the bottom. All were colored with pencils and mineral spirits using paper stumps, die cut with the matching dies and popped onto the card.

The background mat on the card is one of the card panels from the matching designer papers. I just love this paper and the beautiful colors! The images are popped onto a pink Eyelet Oval diecut with a white eyelet center and a light green designer paper for the solid center underneath it. Then I added some stickles to the images, Prills to the flower centers, some lace, a pretty silk bow, adhesive pearls and a button.

Be sure to visit the Heartfelt Creations' Blog to the all the beautiful creations by the designers this week! Such a talented group of ladies!

Remembering Penny O'Dell

Good morning friends,

Today on the Heartfelt Creations Blog there is a tribute to our designer, Penny O'Dell, who passed away on December 13th. You can see her tribute on the blog here. Penny was such a sweet lady and will be missed by us all. The HC Blog is showing some of Penny's beautiful creations and I'd like to show you a couple of her projects I particularly love for you here.

Special Day Floral Frame

I love this altered frame, such gorgeous flowers Penny made with the Vintage Floret and Delicate Asters.

Enchanted Mum Jewelry Ensemble

Penny used the Enchanted Mum Designer Papers here to create this jewelry set. She cut the papers and rolled them to create "beads". So clever!

Inspired Scroll

I love how Penny did the mini scroll here using the designer papers and word stamp. So beautiful!

Those are just three of the many wonderful creations by Penny. We will miss her beautiful style, but more importantly will miss her sweet spirit and friendship.

You can read more about Penny on her blog here.

Blessings!
