Be Joyful

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in EVERYTHING by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the PEACE OF GOD, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:4-7

These are verses I memorized years ago and they are written on my heart. There are times when I still need to remember not to be anxious, but I eventually listen to my heart saying these verses. I didn't really understand what the "peace of God" was until I experienced it. It's having peace inside you, even when you're going through heartbreaking situations and trials. It does "surpass ALL understanding" and you know it comes from GOD alone. Praise the Lord for His wonderful promises!

I love, love, love what I do. I am passionate about the things I create and the talents God has placed in me. I SO appreciate the time you take to look at my things and the comments you all leave me!

Blessings to you!

Graphic 45 Baby Gift Set

Hi there!

Today I have a baby gift emsemble that I have been working on to give to a dear friend.  There is a tri-shutter card, chipboard mini album, and matching gift box to hold the album.  These are made with the Graphic 45 Little Darlings Papers and Chipboard Tags.  (You can click on the photos for a closer look.)

The card is made using the tri-shutter tutorial on SCS here

The mini album was created based on the Little Darlings Mini Album Project Sheet on the Graphic 45 Website here.  The base for the album is just an inexpensive chipboard album from Michaels that measures 5" x 6 1/2".  Here is the front cover decorated with the papers, chipboard tag, and lots of ribbons and trims:

Here are the inside pages which show the pockets for tags, photos, and/or journalling.  I made die cut pieces in different shapes and added some chipboard tags and cute photos taken from the papers.

The back cover:

This is the gift box I created for the album to be kept in.  I used a basic box making technique, adjusting measurements to fit the album.  This shows the box closed up with the ribbon on it that slides off.

This shows the box without the ribbon on it.

Products used:

Stamps: God's Blessings (Stampin' Up)
Paper: Little Darlings Collection (Graphic 45), Natural White (Neenah), Baja Breeze (SU), Coral (DCWV), Dark Caribbean Coral (Color Mates)
Ink: Vintage Photo Distress Ink (Ranger)
Accessories: Little Darlings Collection Chipboard Tags (Graphic 45), chipboard book (Michaels), extra keyring 1 1/4", various punches & dies, Very Vanilla, Baja Breeze Seam Binding (RAK from Jill), various fibers and trims, button, lace, brad, spacer bead, Crop-a-Dial, hole punch
