North Coast Creations - Cupid Murphy

I made this card using Cupid Murphy from North Coast Creations.  (NCC is a new stamp company from the Our Daily Bread Designs' owner Kelley Holland.)

Isn't this little guy adorable?  I colored him with my Prismacolor Pencils and  mineral spirits using pinks and browns.  Please visit the new North Coast Creations' Website to see all the stamps Kelley has available here.

CottageCutz Heart Rose Wreath

Happy Monday everyone!

I have a card to show you today using a new die from CottageCutz, the Heart Rose Wreath!

I just LOVE this new die! I paired it with the bird from the Bluebird die that I placed inside the wreath. I cut everything out in white cardstock and used chalk inks and make-up applicators to color the pieces. These are the dies that I used on this.

I embossed the bottom portion of the card base, added some Cotton Candy Baker's Twine, made a bow, and added some pearls, Liquid Pearls, and a charm. Super easy card to make!

Violet Roses - Flourishes - FTTC206

Hi there!

I made this card for the latest Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge #206 which is a sketch.

The rose image is from the Roses Are Red Set that I recently won...I love this set and this small rose image!  I colored this with my Prismacolor Pencils and mineral spirits and made a frame for it using the Labels 20 Spellbinders Dies.  Here's a closer view of the image.

The sentiment is from the With Graditude Set which I punched out with the Modern Label Punch and them created a mat for it with the Labels 20 Dies.  Here's a closer look at the sentiment.

The green pattern paper is from the brand new Graphic 45 Papers Secret Garden that I won and just received this weekend...wow, these papers are beautiful!  I can't wait to use more of it!

Graphic 45 Baby Gift Set

Hi there!

Today I have a baby gift emsemble that I have been working on to give to a dear friend.  There is a tri-shutter card, chipboard mini album, and matching gift box to hold the album.  These are made with the Graphic 45 Little Darlings Papers and Chipboard Tags.  (You can click on the photos for a closer look.)




The card is made using the tri-shutter tutorial on SCS here. 

The mini album was created based on the Little Darlings Mini Album Project Sheet on the Graphic 45 Website here.  The base for the album is just an inexpensive chipboard album from Michaels that measures 5" x 6 1/2".  Here is the front cover decorated with the papers, chipboard tag, and lots of ribbons and trims:

Here are the inside pages which show the pockets for tags, photos, and/or journalling.  I made die cut pieces in different shapes and added some chipboard tags and cute photos taken from the papers.

 

 

 

 

 

The back cover:

This is the gift box I created for the album to be kept in.  I used a basic box making technique, adjusting measurements to fit the album.  This shows the box closed up with the ribbon on it that slides off.

Heartfelt Creations Inspiration

Happy Wednesday everyone!

It's time for a little inspiration from Heartfelt Creations!!!

I have 2 cards today to show you.  The first is a fairly CAS card using the Mailbox Surprise and Add-on Sentiments Sets.

This is a cute set that you can use with all kinds of sentiments.  I colored this with pencils and colored a second birdhouse and popped it on top of the main image.

The second card, Timeless Love,  is very simple.  I didn't even do any coloring!  This is using the Timeless Amour Background Stamp and Mini and Bold Vintage Floret Sets.

This card is actually very pretty, but doesn't show up in the photo very well at all...sorry!  I hate when that happens!  The flower is actually a pretty pink and lighter than it shows here.

Instructions:

Base: Cut Lipstick 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", score 4 ¼” and fold.  Cut white 4 1/8” x 5 3/8” and emboss with folder.  Stamp sentiment at bottom as shown.
Image: Stamp flowered mailbox and small single mailbox image on Solar White with Onyx Black, color with pencils, and die cut single mailbox with matching die.  Diecut image with Labels 23 Die and cut next size up with Lipstick.  Glue these 2 pieces together.  Add single mailbox with pop dots.  Add image to card with pop dots.  Add adhesive pearls and bow.

Instructions:

Base: Cut Chablis 6 1/2" x 10 1/2", score at 5 ¼” and fold.  Using Labels 23 Grand, place fold side slightly over die edge and cut to create card base.
Image: Stamp Background image on White cardstock with VersaMark and heat emboss with Party Pink embossing powder.  Cut with Labels 23 Grand, next size down.
Embellishments: Stamp on Solar White with VersaMark one each: smallest flower (Bold Vintage Floret), smallest and next size up (Mini Vintage Floret) and heat emboss with Party Pink.  Stamp leaf flower (Mini Vintage Floret) on Chablis cardstock and heat emboss with White embossing powder.  Shape flower as shown and glue together.  Wrap White Seam Binding around image and tape down to back.  Make bow and add as shown.  Add button, pin, charm, and flower as shown.

This is a new set I bought called "With Sympathy".  I picked this image for this gorgeous rose.  I love roses and I love to color and with this I had both!  I colored this with my pencils and mineral spirits and used the Labels One and Decorative Labels One Dies to frame it.

ODBDSLC141 - Secret Admirer

It's time for a new Shining the Light Challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs!

Here is my card for the challenge this week.  This was not an easy task, to find just one card to showcase!  There are so many talented designers that I admire!  I finally decided on the sweet and talented Grace Nywening from the ODBD Design Team.  Grace's creations are ALWAYS gorgeous and I love her style!  I especially love the way she did her card using the Faith, Hope, and Love Set which you can see  here.  I used pink to accent the black and white instead of the red.

Sepia Roses - Flourishes

Hi there!

I have a card made with the Flourishes' "Roses are Red" Set that I won recently from them.

 

 

 

I LOVE this image and couldn't wait to color it!  The Timeless Tuesday Challenge this week is for a vintage creation, I hope this is vintage enough!  I decided to do it as a monotone after seeing the Really Reasonable Ribbon challenge this week for it.  I did it in a vintage sepia color combination, which I love, using my pencils and mineral spirits.  The photo isn't the best as it's much prettier in real life.  The beautiful bow is made with Crumb Cake Seam Binding that my sweet cyber friend Jill (JD) gave me!  The photo doesn't show it, but it actually goes perfectly with the image and papers and has a gorgeous color variation on it from the light.

I have been published!!!

Hi there!

I have some very exciting news to share!  I have 2 projects published in the Spring Issue of Paper Creations Magazine!  I'm so excited, this is my first time being published and it is a huge accomplishment for me!  You can even see my 2 projects highlighted on the website out of the 4 they chose!  Wow, pinch me!

The magazine went on sale last week if you would like one.  I went to Walmart last week and there it was in the magazine section with MY projects in it!  I had to contain myself from screaming to the lady next to me, lol!  I don't think she would have appreciated my enthusiasm.  

Here is the picture of the Delicate Asters Wall Hanging I made using Heartfelt Creations' papers, stamps, and dies from the Delicate Asters Collection.  I used a sign I got from the Target $1.00 bin.

 

The second project is a set of matching notecards and handmade box using Heartfelt Creations' Old English Garden Collection stamps and dies that Paper Creations called Rhapsody in Blue Note Cards.  I like that name and that beautiful piece of china!

 

 

 

Thank you, Lord, for the talents you have given in me and allowing me to use them glorify You!  I am truly blessed!

This little lamb is SO sweet!  Just a little baby surrounded by daffodils!  I found a picture online of some lambs and used it to color this little guy with my pencils!  I fussy cut the shepherd hook and added the sentiment over it.  Here's a picture of the new set "The Shepherd" so you can see all the stamps that come in the set.

Beautiful set for Easter, but can be used for other occasions too!
