Be Joyful

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in EVERYTHING by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the PEACE OF GOD, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:4-7

These are verses I memorized years ago and they are written on my heart. There are times when I still need to remember not to be anxious, but I eventually listen to my heart saying these verses. I didn't really understand what the "peace of God" was until I experienced it. It's having peace inside you, even when you're going through heartbreaking situations and trials. It does "surpass ALL understanding" and you know it comes from GOD alone. Praise the Lord for His wonderful promises!

I love, love, love what I do. I am passionate about the things I create and the talents God has placed in me. I SO appreciate the time you take to look at my things and the comments you all leave me!

Blessings to you!

My Forever Family Album - Heartfelt Creations

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Today I have a special photo album I made using Heartfelt Creations' January Release Countryside Evening!

This is the front cover...

Click on the photo for a closer look...

I stamped the corners with the Petite Floral Swirls and colored them with pencils.  I added some liquid pearls and Posy Patch flowers that were stamped and cut.  The center sentiment is cut from the matching designer paper.  The blue lacy piece peeking on the right side is from the Decorative Blossom Corner Die that goes with this collection.  I add a bunch of fibers and ribbons to the key rings and a charm, then a bow to the sentiment.

These are picture of the inside pages.  Each page has a pocket containing journal blocks and sentiments from the designer papers that you can add pictures to.  I also decorated some of the pages with assorted stamps.

This is the back cover.  I used the designer paper for the base and the sentiment is another block from the designer papers.

This is a view from above...

I hope this gives you a little inspiration of some of the different things you can do with these papers, stamps, and dies.  This makes a wonderful gift for someone special and is actually fairly simple to make!  This chipboard book I used for a base is from Michaels' $1.00/1.50 bin that I just covered with paper!

Please visit the Heartfelt Creations' Blog to see all the designers' gorgeous creations this week!

I'm submitting this to the Word Art Wednesday Challenge #65 where anything goes.

Blessings!

Kathy

Stamp: Little Girls (Our Daily Bread Designs)
Paper: Natural White (Neenah), Chocolate Chip
Ink: VersaMark, Dark Chocolate (Palette)
Accessories: Square punch, adhesive pearls, flower, house felt sticker (Michaels), Scrollwork Embossing Folder (Cuttlebug), Classic Ovals & Classic Scalloped Ovals Large Dies (Spellbinders), distressing tool, spongs, Clear Bark Embossing Powder (Recollections), heat tool, Brown Sheer Organza with Satin Center Ribbon (Really Reasonable Ribbon)

Burgandy Rose - Flourishes

Hi there!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday!  Today I have a card I made for the latest Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge #204.  This week we need to use a fishtail, pearls, and a circle.  It took me a while to figure out what a fishtail was, lol!  Here's what I came up with...

The rose image is from the Roses are Red Set and the sentiment is from the Inside & Out You Set.  These are 2 of the sets I won from them a couple of weeks ago for the new release.  I love this rose image and I can't wait to color the larger rose image from the set!  I colored this image with my pencils and mineral spirits and accented it a little with a marker.

I'm submitting this to the following challenges:

Flourishes FTTC204 - Fishtail, pearls, & circle
Word Art Wednesday #64 - Anything Goes
Really Reasonable Ribbon #64 - Valentine's Day/Love & Ribbon

Card recipe:

Stamps: Roses are Red, Inside and Out You (Flourishes)
Paper: Solar White (Neenah), Dill, Burgandy (Recollections), mauve (DCWV), Blush (Basic Grey)
Ink: Onyx Black (VersaFine), Wheat (VersaMagic)
Accessories: Adhesive pearls (Recollections), White Seam Binding (Really Reasonable Ribbon), corner rounder, square punch, circles, scalloped circles, Marvelous Squares Dies (Spellbinders), sponge, Old English LaPlumme Marker, mineral spirits, Prismacolor Pencils: Pink Rose, Black Raspberry, Marine Green, Kelp Green, Black.

I hope you enjoyed my card today!

Heartfelt Creations - Antique Lantern

***This is my second post for today.  If you are looking for my CottageCutz post, please scroll down or click here.***

Happy Wednesday!

It's time for some inspiration using Heartfelt Creations stamps, designer papers, and dies!

This week, I'm using the new Antique Lantern and the Burlap Background Sets.

(You can click on the photo for a closer look...)

The main image is colored with Prismacolor Pencils and mineral spirits.  I decided on greens, browns, and a little bit of orange for colors and used kraft paper for the card base and sentiment.  The  base is stamped with the Burlap Background Stamp using Vintage Photo Ink.  The green mat is distressed on the edges.  The gingham ribbon was perfect for the rustic image.  This would be a nice masculine card, which is why I didn't make a bow, only a knot, and didn't add a flower, only a button!

I'm submitting this to the latest Word Art Wednesday Challenge #64 - Anything Goes.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope this give you a little inspiration!  For more inspiration, you can go to the Heartfelt Creations' Blog to see all the designers beautiful creations together!

Blessings!

This sweet image is from the new Little Girls Set released this month.  I love the vintage silhouette image on this and the beautiful font of the sentiments! Here is a picture of the set where you can see all the other sentiments that it has with it:

This is a very simple card.  I just stamped the image with Victorian Velvet Ink, then the two sentiments over it with black ink.  Then I just diecut it with Decorative Labels One Die, inked the edges a little, and popped it up on the card.  The card is 4 1/4" square that I added an embossed mat, lace, ribbon, pearls, and a button to.

Card recipe:

Stamp: Little Girls (Our Daily Bread Designs)
Ink: Victorian Velvet Distress Ink, Onyx Black (VersaMark)

Happy Wednesday everyone!

***If you're looking for my "Ivory Asters" and "Roses in December" cards, you can see them here...they were posted last week...long story, lol!***

It's time for a little more inspiration using Heartfelt Creations' January release Countryside Evening.  This time I have  the Melodious Songbird Set...oh how I love this image!!!

I colored this with Prismacolor Pencils and mineral spirits...my favorite thing to do!  I also colored a second bird image, fussy cut it, and popped it over the first one.  You don't need to do this, but it comes out pretty with the depth it gives you.  I love all the little flowers and leaves on this.  The matching designer papers were used for the sentiment and the beautiful background.  (Complete details for my card are at the end of the post.)

You can go to the Heartfelt Creations' Blog to see all the designers gorgeous creations together!  What an amazingly talented group of ladies to work with!  It's fun to see all the different ways to use the same stamp image too!

CottageCutz - Sweet Flower Shop

Hi there!

I have another card to show you using my new CottageCutz Dies!  This time I'm using the adorable Flower Shop Die.

Isn't this cute?  I love this color combo with it!  I used white, pink, and a little bit of brown cardstock. I scored white cardstock for the shop base. I used pink, green, and brown inks to shade the edges of the pieces. I made the sidewalk using the awning piece with brown cardstock.  The "trees" in the background are just lace I placed upside down. The twine is a sample I recently got with an order from RRR which I love!

Here's a closeup of the shop...

Here's a picture of the Flower Shop Die...

Flowers With Love - Flourishes

Hi there!

I have a bunch of flowery stamps from Flourishes that I bought a year or 2 ago and have decided to break them out and do some creating with them!  Last week I did the Rose Corner Bookmark and entered it in the Flourishes' challenge.  This week I have a card I made using the With Graditude Stamp Set and the Decorative Labels 8 Die as a card base.

I made this for the Flourishes' Love Letters Challenge (FLLCJAN13) - love theme.  I colored the image with Prismacolor Pencils and mineral spirits.  The little word "love" at the bottom is from the Noteworthy SU Set.  Here's a picture of the inside:

This "love" sentiment is from Hampton Art - Studio G.  I stamped it with Victoria Velvet Ink, but it was too light so I colored a shadow on it with Black Raspberry Pencil.

Card recipe:

Stamps: With Graditude (Flourishes), Noteworthy (SU), "Love" (Hampton Art)
Paper: Solar White (Neenah), Burgandy (Recollections)
Ink: Onyx Black (VersaFine), Victorian Velvet Distress Ink Ranger)
Accessories: Olive Wrinkled Ribbon (Really Reasonable Ribbon), adhesive pearls (Recollections), Labels 8, Decorative Labels 8 (Spellbinders), mineral spirits, White Opal Liquid Pearls, Vesuvius Glitter (Art Glitter), Prismacolor Pencils: Pink Rose, Black Raspberry, Kelp Green, Black

Here is my take on the challenge this week...

Love One Another

I decided to make another ivory on ivory card for the color challenge (CC406) at Split Coast Stampers, this time a wedding slider card.  I love the Elegant Scrollwork Die and have been playing with putting a few together like a bouquet.  I finally came up with this design for it.

My "old" on this is the designer paper on the inside, it's actually an old patterned card piece that I've had for years!  The "new" is this "Love One Another" Stamp Set.  I love this set!  It's the same one I used on the wall hanging last week for my "Time With Kathy" post.  Here's a picture of the set again.

Card recipe:

Stamp: Love One Another (ODBD)
Paper: Natural White (Neenah), designer paper (stash)
Ink: Antique Linen Distress Ink (Ranger)
