Be Joyful

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in EVERYTHING by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the PEACE OF GOD, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:4-7

These are verses I memorized years ago and they are written on my heart. There are times when I still need to remember not to be anxious, but I eventually listen to my heart saying these verses. I didn't really understand what the "peace of God" was until I experienced it. It's having peace inside you, even when you're going through heartbreaking situations and trials. It does "surpass ALL understanding" and you know it comes from GOD alone. Praise the Lord for His wonderful promises!

I love, love, love what I do. I am passionate about the things I create and the talents God has placed in me. I SO appreciate the time you take to look at my things and the comments you all leave me!

Blessings to you!

Heartfelt Creations Inspiration

Happy Wednesday everyone!

It's time for a little inspiration from Heartfelt Creations!  Today I have a "You Are My Sunshine" Card and a matching wood hanger to show you!

(Click on photo for a better view)

The card is made using one of the journal blocks from the Daphne Paper Collection that I stamped with a sentiment and added some leaves and flowers.  I popped this on an embossed background and added some pearls and ribbon.  Very easy card to put together using these pretty papers!

I decorated the small wood hanger (8.66" x 4.53") by painting it and then adhered designer papers from the collection to it with Mod Podge. I then embellished it with the same flowers, leaves, pearls and ribbon as the card.  This would be perfect for hanging a baby dress in a baby's room or a pretty wall hanging in any room.  I think this would make a beautiful gift for someone!

Be sure to visit the Heartfelt Creations Blog to see all the beautiful creations this week by the design team!

Morning Glory Doily

Happy Thursday everyone!

Today I have a new card for you using CottageCutz' Morning Glory and Oval Doily & Frame Dies.

I love using lots of white with a pop of color to show how beautiful these dies are!  The pieces were cut with white card stock and the flowers and leaves were colored with chalk inks to match this pretty lavender ribbon.  I then shaped them and added some White Opal Liquid Pearls to the flower centers.  I added the leaves and flower to the center doily with pop dots and added the outside piece of the doily to the card with pop dots.   Here's a closeup of the flowers!

The card base is made with Orchid Opulence Cardstock with a white mat embossed with Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder.  The ribbon is Lavender Seam Binding from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I didn't add a sentiment to this, but it could be used for all kinds of occasions!

Here are the dies I used:

Christmas Candle - Heartfelt Creations

Happy Wednesday everyone!

It's time for some Heartfelt Creations' inspiration!  I have another Christmas Card for you this week using the new Christmas Card Collection.  Last week my card was a little labor intensive, this time I have a fairly easy card to put together using the new papers!

The main image on this, the candle, is stamped and colored.  The background, though, is taken from the Christmas Card Collection Designer Paper.  I added a green mat to it and placed it on a white card base.  If you click on the photo, you can see how easy it was to put this together!

Be sure to visit the Heartfelt Creations Blog to see all the beauties by the designers this week and to see who won the entire collection!
