Be Joyful

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in EVERYTHING by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the PEACE OF GOD, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:4-7

These are verses I memorized years ago and they are written on my heart. There are times when I still need to remember not to be anxious, but I eventually listen to my heart saying these verses. I didn't really understand what the "peace of God" was until I experienced it. It's having peace inside you, even when you're going through heartbreaking situations and trials. It does "surpass ALL understanding" and you know it comes from GOD alone. Praise the Lord for His wonderful promises!

I love, love, love what I do. I am passionate about the things I create and the talents God has placed in me. I SO appreciate the time you take to look at my things and the comments you all leave me!

Blessings to you!

Believe - Heartfelt Creations

Merry Christmas!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas with family and friends!  We're looking forward to a fun day together here in our new home!

Today I have a Christmas card to show you for Heartfelt Creations using one of the card fronts in their Christmas Card Collection Designer Papers.

These card fronts make card making so easy!  I didn't do any stamping or anything on this!  I cut the card front from the designer paper, matted it with tan cardstock, wrapped it with some twine, and added it to a card base with pop dots.  It doesn't get much easier than that!

To embellish my card, I added bows, a button with twine, and a tag also cut from the designer paper.

I'm submitting this to the following Challenge:

Word Art Wednesday Challenge #112 - Anything Goes

I pray you all have a wonderful and blessed Christmas!

Blessings!

All About Christmas

Happy Sunday everyone!

Today I have a couple of Christmas projects to show you!  The first is a very simple card I made for MY Christmas Cards this year!  I wanted something elegant and simple...this is what I came up with!

I just love the white and red combination on this showing the beautiful Elegant Flurry Snowflake Die cut.  Very easy card to put together!  I used a red card base and a white mat partially embossed with a snowflake die.  I stamped a sentiment on the bottom, wrapped some red ribbon around the mat, then added the snowflake and a bow!

My second project is a gift card holder I made using the Fancy Envelope Die, my new FAVORITE die!  It's perfect as a gift card holder, I love it!  I know I'll be using this one a lot!

To make the holder, I cut the envelope with white cardstock and again with some Christmas designer paper (Botanical Noel by Recollections).  I trimmed the designer paper piece to cover the flap and another piece for the back (taken from the inside of the pocket).

The Poinsettia Spray was cut with various cardstock scraps that were shaped and slightly inked.  I also cut a bow with red cardstock using the Homemade Christmas Gift Set and added a button with a twine bow.   I also cut an additional poinsettia flower to decorate the flap with a couple of leaves.

These are the dies I used:

Key to My Heart

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Can you believe Christmas is only a week away?  Yikes, I'm so not ready for it!  Hopefully you're more prepared than I am!

Well, it's Wednesday, and that means it's time for some Heartfelt Creations inspiration!  Today I have a card I made using three of the Floral Key Collection stamp sets: Keys and Roses, Journey of Love Keys, and Burnished Key Sets.

I wanted to place these images together and have the Timeless Rectangles Die framing it for something simple and elegant.  I stamped the images on white cardstock and colored them in pencils using pinks, browns, and a little green.  I love this flowered key image, it's one of my favorites from the collection.  I added the extra heart lock and keys "popped" on top of the original images.

Elegant Christmas Bell

Happy Thursday!

Today I have a Christmas card for you using Elegant Christmas Bell, Holly Berry Mini, and The Homemade Christmas Gift Set dies from The Scrapping Cottage.

(Click on photo for a better view)

For my card I started with a red base and added a white mat embossed with a snowflake die.  The Merry Christmas sentiment is cut using The Homemade Christmas Gift Set and red cardstock.  I ran it through my XYRON Create-a-sticker machine to make it easier to adhere to the card.  The Elegant Christmas Bell was cut with red and green cardstock and gold designer paper from Glad Tidings Mat Stack.  I glued the bell to the mat and then added branches that were inked with green and shaped a little.  The bow was inked with red and shaped it a little before adding it the to bell with pop dots.

I wrapped the plaid ribbon around the mat and added a bow made with the Bow-Easy.  I used the Holly Berry Mini with red and green cardstock to add holly to the bow center after shaping them a little with my fingers and a stylus.

To finish the card off I added a button with a floss bow.

These are the dies I used.

Especially for You - Heartfelt Creations

Happy Wednesday everyone!

It's time for a little inspiration from Heartfelt Creations!  This week I have another card made with the new Floral Key Collection.  This time I used blues with the beautiful browns in the collection.

Click on photo for a better view

The mat behind the images is one of the card fronts from the designer papers.  These card fronts make things a lot easier!  The flower image was colored with pencils and fussy cut.  The key is an extra key colored and popped over the image.  The sentiment oval was stamped on the designer paper, colored, and a extra key was popped over it.

Be sure to visit the Heartfelt Creations Blog to see all the beautiful creations by the designers this week!

Prayer Journal - Heartfelt Creations

Happy Wednesday!

It's time for some Heartfelt Creations inspiration!  This week I have a spiral notebook that I bought at Michaels for $.50 and altered into a prayer journal.  The notebook is 6" x 6" so it's perfect for the 6" x 6" designer paper blocks in the Floral Key Paper Collection.  Here is the "before" picture showing how I removed the covers.

Here is the front of the book after altering it.  Looks a little bit nicer doesn't it?  You can click on the photos for a better view.

Here is the inside cover with image of Matthew 7:7.

 Here are the back covers.

Grandma's Goodies Tag

Happy Monday!

Today I have a cute gift tag I made using the Fancy Insert Card/Tag and In the Kitchen Clear Stamps by Cottage Impressions!

This tag die comes in handy for lots of things and I thought it would be perfect as a tag for baked goodies!  I LOVE the images from this stamp set, they're so cute and fun to color!  (Unfortunately, I just realized the stamp set is retired now!)

Here's a close up of the pie and cookbook images.

Aren't they cute?  I stamped them on white cardstock with black ink and colored them with pencils.  I then fussy cut them which was very easy, and inked the edges a little with black.

I die cut the tag using Visions of Christmas paper by K & Co. stamped it with "Grandma's Goodies" sentiment from the set, and inked the edges with brown ink.  I added the images to the tag with pop dots and added some baby rick rack.  I punched a hole in the tag and added some white jute for a tie and then added a bow, button and twine.

Here are the Scrapping Cottage stamp and die I used:
