Be Joyful

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in EVERYTHING by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the PEACE OF GOD, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:4-7

These are verses I memorized years ago and they are written on my heart. There are times when I still need to remember not to be anxious, but I eventually listen to my heart saying these verses. I didn't really understand what the "peace of God" was until I experienced it. It's having peace inside you, even when you're going through heartbreaking situations and trials. It does "surpass ALL understanding" and you know it comes from GOD alone. Praise the Lord for His wonderful promises!

I love, love, love what I do. I am passionate about the things I create and the talents God has placed in me. I SO appreciate the time you take to look at my things and the comments you all leave me!

Blessings to you!

For my project this week, I have a card using the Dahlia Cluster Set.

I stamped the image on Solar White Cardstock, colored it with pencils and mineral spirits and fussy cut it.  I then combined it with three of the Open Leaf Images, colored the same way and cut with the matching dies.

Here's a close-up of the image, you can also click on the photos for a better view.

The images were popped on a mat of Natural White Cardstock that is embossed on the top and bottom with a border embossing folder.  I also added a sentiment, some beautiful trim, twine bow and pearls.  I really love how this one came out and I hope you do too!

Be sure to visit the Heartfelt Creations' Blog to see all the gorgeous creations made by the designers this week...wow, they are so beautiful!!!  Also, make sure to leave a comment there for a chance to win the entire release!

I'm submitting this to the following challenges:

Word Art Wednesday Challenge #88
Allsorts Challenge #214 - Favourite Things - that would be flowers and coloring with my pencils!
No Matter Which Challenge #11 - Anything Goes - this is their last challenge!

Blessings!

Framed Fall Season - Heartfelt Creations

Happy Wednesday everyone!

It's time for more inspiration from Heartfelt Creations!  This week I used the Fall Season image to make a framed piece that would make a pretty home decor gift!

I used a simple wood frame, painted it and added some of the red designer paper.   I decorated the frame with various Fall images from the Classic Editions Release of last year which go perfect with this image.  The puppy inside the frame is popped on the image with pop dots.

Here's a closeup of the image inside the frame.

Some closeups of the elements decorating the wood frame.

Here's a little side view...

Most of the elements on the frame are pieces I made last year that never made the "cut" on a project.  I save everything I make in page protectors by release so that I can use them on fun projects like this!

I hope I leave you a little inspired!  Please visit the Heartfelt Creations' Blog to all the beautiful projects by the designers this week!  I am amazed at the talent these ladies have, you will be too!

I'm submitting this to the following challenge:

Heartfelt Creations - One Sheet Wonder Cards & Box

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Today I have a fun gift idea using Heartfelt Creations designer papers, stamps and dies!  A while back I created a "one sheet wonder" for a 6" x 6" piece of pattern paper.  I loved how it came out, so I decided to do one with HC's beautiful papers!  Here are the 6 cards I made.

Click on photo for a closer view

I love how these all coordinate together, it makes such a pretty gift!  I also made a gift box to go with these using HC's stamps.

If you're not familiar with "one sheet wonders", basically you use a piece of designer paper (or make your own), cut it into pieces using a pattern and make cards with the pieces.  I made the pattern for these and posted it in February on this post here  if you would like to read more about it or try making one yourself for a gift!

For lots more inspiration, please visit the Heartfelt Creations' Blog to see what all the talented designers have created for you this week!

I'm submitting this to the following challenges:

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Today I have a gift box and card set to show you!  Here is the card...

the box...

the other side of the box...

The flowers were all done by coloring with pencils on black cardstock using white embossing powder for the image.  I was playing around the other day with my pencils and decided to try coloring on black using white pencil as a base.  I love the way this came out with this bright teal color, so striking with the white!

The gift box is made by using the Gift Ensemble Die, cutting 4 pieces and gluing the sides together.  (You can see more about this in the video and the HC Blog.)  I decorated the sides of the box coloring on black as I did with the flowers.

CottageCutz Birthday Blessings

Happy Mother's Day!

I hope you are all having a wonderful Mother'sDay!  Today I have a birthday card to show you using the Oval Doily & Frame, Plumeria & Leaves and Garden Tabs CottageCutz Dies.

For my card, I started with a white card base and added a piece of green patterned paper to the upper portion.  I then embossed the front and wrapped a piece of ribbon around the card.  I cut the Oval Doily & Frame with white cardstock, stamped the sentiment on the smaller piece, and added it to the card base with pop dots.

The Plumeria & Leaves and Garden Tabs were cut with white cardstock and colored with Persimmon and Aloe Vera Chalk Inks using makeup applicators.  I shaped the flowers and leaves and added lines on the flowers with a stylus.  I arranged these around the doily with glue and glue dots.

The bird is made using the Garden Tabs Die that I cut with white cardstock and colored with chalk inks.  I added this to the doily with pop dots.  Adhesive pearls were added along with a little glitter using Paper Glaze.  I then added a bow with a pearl brad for the center.

These are the dies I used.

Card recipe:

S-Spellbinders, P-Pearls, R-Ribbon, I-Ink, G- Gems

I used the Daisy Set for my card and colored them in purples...I was in a purple mood!  I fussy cut the image and popped it on a Floral Oval Diecut.  I thought it looked pretty with the white background.  The card base is embossed and I added some pearl swirls, a bow and rhinestones.

Here is the set I used:

Card recipe:

Stamp: Daisy (Our Daily Bread Designs)
Paper: Solar White (Neenah), Lavender Lace, Whisper White

CottageCutz Garden Hello

Happy Thursday everyone!

It's time for me to share a CottageCutz creation with you!  Today I have a wall hanging I call "Garden Hello".

I used lots of beatiful CottageCutz Dies and Secret Garden Designer Papers from Graphic 45 to make this. The base is a page from a 8" x 8" scalloped chipboard album I got at Michaels. I covered it with an off-white designer paper (dp) that has crack lines on it and added a piece of peach dp to look like the side of a house. The outside border is a piece of the designer paper that I trimmed out the center of leaving just the border. Under the top of the border, I placed a piece of striped dp that was punched with a scalloped border on it. Under the bottom of the border, I added a picket fence using the Picket Fence Border Die and peach dp. I inked the edges a little and placed green dp under it.

All these pieces were glued together and added to the chipboard with Mod Podge. After letting it dry well, I trimmed the out side edge of the paper to match the scallop on the chipboard. (Note: Next time I do, this I will trace the chipboard shape on the back of the dp with pencil and trim it before adhering to the chipboard!)

The Garden Bird Branch was cut with the green dp and the 2 birds in it were cut with the peach and glued in place.

For the branch along the fence, I used the Bluebird Die with green dp, shaped it and tucked it in in the fence a little. The flowers on the 2 branches are from the Blossom Branch Die that I cut using peach dp and Solar White. I shaped these with my tool kit and mat and inked them.

For the window, I used the Springtime Window Die and cut it with green dp. The image in the window is a piece from the dp that I trimed to fit. I added the birdcage in peach dp and 2 birds all from the Birdcage & Stand Die. On the bottom of the window I added a piece of lace and mini pompom trim (a sample from Really Reasonable Ribbon) with Scor-tape.

Here's a little close up for you.

The little flower pots are from the Springtime Window Die that I cut with the green and peach dp and some Solar White and terra cotta color papers I had in my scraps folder.

For finishing touches, I added liquid pearls to flower centers, added twine bows and adhesive pearls.  The chipboard tag, from Secret Garden, was added to the bottom with a tiny piece of the Moss Ribbon.  Moss Ribbon was added to the back to use as a hanger and them covered with paper to finish.

Here are the dies I used on my project.
