Be Joyful

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in EVERYTHING by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the PEACE OF GOD, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:4-7

These are verses I memorized years ago and they are written on my heart. There are times when I still need to remember not to be anxious, but I eventually listen to my heart saying these verses. I didn't really understand what the "peace of God" was until I experienced it. It's having peace inside you, even when you're going through heartbreaking situations and trials. It does "surpass ALL understanding" and you know it comes from GOD alone. Praise the Lord for His wonderful promises!

I love, love, love what I do. I am passionate about the things I create and the talents God has placed in me. I SO appreciate the time you take to look at my things and the comments you all leave me!

Blessings to you!

Hedgehog Gift Card Holder

Happy Tuesday everyone!

I have a quick post today with an adorable Hedgehog Gift Card Holder!  Wouldn't this be perfect for a boy's birthday gift?

I used the Large Confectionery Bag to make the pocket using Sports Mat Pad (K & Co) that is double sided with the orange on the inside.  The tag is the Fancy Insert Tag die cut with blue card stock.  I decorated it with the adorable Hedgehog Mini and Round Mini Balloons using scraps of black, browns, yellow, and orange card stock.  The sentiment is Teeny Tiny Wishes from Stampin' Up.  I inked the edges of the tag and all the die cut pieces with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and used Natural Jute from Really Reasonable Ribbon for tie on the tag.

Here's a photo of it inside the holder.

Cup of Latte and Boxwood Vine Wreath

Happy Thursday!

Today I have two projects to show you!  First, is a card using the Boxwood Vine Wreath die and stamps.

I cut the die pieces using pink, green, and brown card stock.  After cutting the banner in pink, I stamped it with the "Merry Christmas" stamp from the set in black ink.  The pieces were shaped and inked before assembling.  I arranged them all on a white snowflake embossed background to make it all pop.

The second project is a gift card holder that I made using the Cup of Latte and Fancy Envelope Dies. Here is one side with the latte cups.  (The green is a little brighter in the picture than it should be, it's actually the same green as in the card.)

Here is the other side with the flap and velcro enclosure.

The Fancy Envelope base is cut with Certainly Celery card stock.  The pieces are cut with white, pink card stock, and the Merry Little Christmas designer paper by My Mind's Eye.  I then added a little lace, twine, and buttons to embellish it.

These are the dies I used on my projects.

CottageCutz Dies: Fancy Envelope, Cup of Latte, Boxwood Vine Wreath
Stamp: Boxwood Vine Wreath
Paper: White, Certainly Celery (SU), Pink Diamond, Sugar n Spice, Fudgesicle (Coredinations), Merry Little Christmas (My Mind's Eye)
Ink: Onyx Black (VersaFine), Victorian Velvet (Ranger)
Accessories: Snowflake #8 Embossing Folder (Sizzix), twine, lace, Bow-Easy, buttons, velcro

All About Christmas

Happy Sunday everyone!

Today I have a couple of Christmas projects to show you!  The first is a very simple card I made for MY Christmas Cards this year!  I wanted something elegant and simple...this is what I came up with!

I just love the white and red combination on this showing the beautiful Elegant Flurry Snowflake Die cut.  Very easy card to put together!  I used a red card base and a white mat partially embossed with a snowflake die.  I stamped a sentiment on the bottom, wrapped some red ribbon around the mat, then added the snowflake and a bow!

My second project is a gift card holder I made using the Fancy Envelope Die, my new FAVORITE die!  It's perfect as a gift card holder, I love it!  I know I'll be using this one a lot!

To make the holder, I cut the envelope with white cardstock and again with some Christmas designer paper (Botanical Noel by Recollections).  I trimmed the designer paper piece to cover the flap and another piece for the back (taken from the inside of the pocket).

The Poinsettia Spray was cut with various cardstock scraps that were shaped and slightly inked.  I also cut a bow with red cardstock using the Homemade Christmas Gift Set and added a button with a twine bow.   I also cut an additional poinsettia flower to decorate the flap with a couple of leaves.

These are the dies I used:

Stocking Gift Card Holders - CottageCutz

Happy  Sunday everyone!

Today I have a couple of gift card holders for you that I made with CottageCutz's Large Confectionery Bag and the Build-A-Christmas Stocking Dies!

I have one in red and greens:

And another in red and brown:

I love this Build-A-Christmas Stocking Die, perfect to decorate the front of these...so adorable!!!

I made these holders with trim so they can be hung on the Christmas tree for Christmas morning.  You could also put candy in them like chocolates or candy canes and hang them like an ornament.  I think they will make cute gifts!

The first holder is made with double-sided designer paper and the second is cardstock so I added a piece of red cardstock inside it before assembling.  These are super easy to make!

Here are the dies I used on these:

Project recipe:

CottageCutz Dies: Large Confectionery Bag, Build-A-Christmas Stocking
Paper: Whisper White, Real Red, Early Espresso (SU), Sugar Plums DP (Recollections)
Accessories: Red ric rack (Michaels), baker's twine (Martha Stewart), adhesive pearls, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder (SU)

CottageCutz - Mother's Day Gift Card Holder

Happy Monday everyone!

I have a cute gift project today using CottageCutz Dies.

This is a gift card holder that I made with the new Large Confectionery Bag. I first cut the bag using Nana's Kitchen Paper. Where this is single-sided paper, I cut an additonal piece (green polka dot) to glue on the inside. (You can skip this step by using double-sided paper.) I decorated the bag with a butterfly from the Butterfly Mini Die and branch and flowers from the Bluebird Die using Certainly Celery and Real Red Cardstock and a little piece of blue. These were shaped and glued to the front of the bag.

This is the bag alone.

Inside the holder is the Spring Butterfly Notecard that holds the gift card. I used a small glue dot to hold the gift card in place.

On the back I added a small strip of green paper to hold a tag. The tag is from the Fancy Insert Card/Tag. I stamped "Happy Mother's Day", added a rose flourish on the bottom, punched a hole and added a piece of ribbon.

These are the dies I used.

Project recipe:

Stamps: Vintage Rose Medallions (JustRite)
Paper: Nana's Kitchen (DCWV), Certainly Celery, Real Red (SU)
Ink: Onyx Black (VersaFine)
Accessories: White Opal Liquid Pearls, Scor-Tape, Peacock Seam Binding (Really Reasonable Ribbon)

I'm submitting this to the following challenges:
