Be Joyful

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in EVERYTHING by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the PEACE OF GOD, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:4-7

These are verses I memorized years ago and they are written on my heart. There are times when I still need to remember not to be anxious, but I eventually listen to my heart saying these verses. I didn't really understand what the "peace of God" was until I experienced it. It's having peace inside you, even when you're going through heartbreaking situations and trials. It does "surpass ALL understanding" and you know it comes from GOD alone. Praise the Lord for His wonderful promises!

I love, love, love what I do. I am passionate about the things I create and the talents God has placed in me. I SO appreciate the time you take to look at my things and the comments you all leave me!

Blessings to you!

Heartfelt Creations Wednesday

Hi everyone!

This is my second post for today!  If you are looking for my Word Art Wednesday Guest Designer Card, you can scroll down to the next post!

It's time for some inspiration with Heartfelt Creations!  (Warning...this is a long post!)  I have 2 projects to show you this week, the first is a flower pot "pocket" card!  This is the card with the insert placed inside only showing "You" on it.

You can click on any of the photos for a closer view

Here's a picture of the insert.

The back...

A close-up of the flowers...

I know most people put all the flowers on the top of the insert to look like a pot of flowers, but I loved the way the flowers looked on the pot!  (Complete instuctions for this are at the bottom of the post.)

Next, I have a decorated wood tissue box cover that I call the "Summer Cottage Tissue Box".  I can totally visualize this sitting in a bedroom of a summer cottage at the beach.  I kept this kind of clean and simple because that's how I remember the cottages being in Maine and New Hampshire when I was growing up.

Here's a picture of the top that I decorated with designer paper and mini seashells.

Then I decorated the 4 sides of the box each with a different scene using the Balmy Breeze Collection of stamps and matching designer papers.  I stamped directly on the designer papers, then colored each scene with pencils and mineral spirits.

I'm submitting my Flower Pot Card to the Allsorts Challenge #203 - A Passion for Flowers.

Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope I have given you a little inspiration of some fun things you can make with this new Balmy Breeze Collection!  Please visit the Heartfelt Creations Blog to see all the beautiful creations by the Design Team this week!

Blessings!

Kathy
