Be Joyful

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in EVERYTHING by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the PEACE OF GOD, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:4-7

These are verses I memorized years ago and they are written on my heart. There are times when I still need to remember not to be anxious, but I eventually listen to my heart saying these verses. I didn't really understand what the "peace of God" was until I experienced it. It's having peace inside you, even when you're going through heartbreaking situations and trials. It does "surpass ALL understanding" and you know it comes from GOD alone. Praise the Lord for His wonderful promises!

I love, love, love what I do. I am passionate about the things I create and the talents God has placed in me. I SO appreciate the time you take to look at my things and the comments you all leave me!

Blessings to you!

Kathy

Blue Sparkling Poinsettia

Happy Wednesday!

It's time for the release of the new Sparkling Poinsettia Collection from Heartfelt Creations!

Rediscover the majesty, serenity and pageantry of Christmas with Heartfelt Creations' Sparkling Poinsettia Collection. This glorious ensemble of stamps, dies and papers captures the stately splendor of Christmas with a regal color palette of burgundy, evergreen, taupe and cream. Radiant poinsettias take center stage amidst a host of traditional Nativity scenes, twinkling candles, drifting snowflakes, lacy flourishes, exuberant banners and Heartfelt greetings that are worthy of the King of Kings. Six detailed stamp sets echo the glorious images found in the paper collection and two coordinating die sets can be used to create sparkling poinsettias that will never wilt or fade. Chronicle sweet memories of the season, share holiday joy with family and friends, hail the holy babe born in the manger and deck the halls with Sparkling Poinsettia!

Here is my first card with this Christmas collection.

I used silver embossing powder on white cardstock for the background image and the additional flowers and leaves. Coloring was done with chalk inks and make-up applicators for a soft look. Here's a close-up of the flower for you.

Be sure to visit the HC Blog and see all the beautiful Christmas projects by the designers this week. Also, check out a new video by Emma Lou here showing you how to create a stunning poinsettia using vellum!

I'm submitting this to the following challenge:

Word Art Wednesday Challenge #191 - Anything Goes/Family Friendly

Thanks for stopping by to visit!

Blessings!

Kathy

    1. Hi Gloria, Thank you for your sweet comments! Happy creating with your new HC products! The last time I bought the Neenah Natural White was from The Paper Mill Store online about 4 years ago. You can find it here: http://www.thepapermillstore.com/classic-crest-classic-natural-white-card-stock-8-1-2-x-11-in-80-lb-cover-smooth-250-per-package.html
It's the 80 lb. smooth Classic Crest. It's a little expensive, but I love the quality and color. You may be able to check around a little more and find it cheaper somewhere else, I'm not sure. Thanks again! Blessings! Kathy
