Hi there!
I made this card for a couple of Challenges using mostly "leftovers" from other projects. It's amazing what you can do with what you already have, especially if you keep things organized! All the pieces I used were filed away in my recipe card boxes where I store them. If you're interested, I posted about this around a year ago. You can find it here if you want to check it out. You can also see all my organization posts on my blog by clicking "Organization" under the "Labels" heading on my side bar (way down).
Anyway, I'm submitting this to a couple of challenges at Split Coast Stampers, TLC379 - distressed edges and CAS172 - love. Distressing is something I never do, I find it distressing lol! I finally bought a paper distresser from Tonic and it wasn't too bad to do. For the clean and simple challenge, this about as CAS as I can get although for some it probably isn't very CAS!
I'm also submitting this to Little Birdie Blessings to use Scripture. Abby has some wonderful thoughts on "Balancing Priorities" talking about Mary and Martha. For me, this is a daily struggle that I ask God to help me with.
Also, I'm submitting this to Word Art Wednesday Challenge #30 where you can use anything uplifting or Scripture. I thought I was using the right verse for WAW, but it's actually for Matthew 5:16. Oh well!
For complete ingredients:
Stamps: Scripture Collection 2 (ODBD)
Paper: White (Georgia Pacific), Solar White (Neenah), Pool Party (SU)
Ink: Onyx Black (VersaFine)
Accessories: Flower & adhesive pearls (Recollections), White Seam Binding (Really Reasonable Ribbon), Elegant Scrollwork (Memory Box), Labels 8 & Elegance M-Bossibilities (Spellbinders), Paper Distressing Tool (Tonic)
That's it for today! Tomorrow I will be showing you a new stamp set from Our Daily Bread Designs' June Release, so stay tuned!!!
Blessings!
Kathy
