Be Joyful

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in EVERYTHING by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the PEACE OF GOD, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:4-7

These are verses I memorized years ago and they are written on my heart. There are times when I still need to remember not to be anxious, but I eventually listen to my heart saying these verses. I didn't really understand what the "peace of God" was until I experienced it. It's having peace inside you, even when you're going through heartbreaking situations and trials. It does "surpass ALL understanding" and you know it comes from GOD alone. Praise the Lord for His wonderful promises!

I love, love, love what I do. I am passionate about the things I create and the talents God has placed in me. I SO appreciate the time you take to look at my things and the comments you all leave me!

Blessings to you!

Kathy

Sunflower Flip Fold Card

Happy Friday!

It's time for Heartfelt Creations' Black Friday Release! This week they are releasing pre-made Flip Fold Albums and inserts for the albums. The inserts can also be used to make cards as I have done for my Sunflower card this week.

Here's a little close up of the flower.

Here's a view of the inside right flap open.

Here's the other side of the right flap.

Instructions: Card measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" when closed. Use 5 1/2" x 12" black flipfold insert for card base. Decorate panels with designer papers from the Classic Sunflower Collection matting some with More Mustard and burgundy cardstock.

For card front, cut card panel (pictured) from the designer papers and ink edges with black ink. Cut burgundy cardstock 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" and More Mustard cardstock 4 1/16" x 5 5/16" then glue together with card panel. Add to card front with Scotch Mounting Tape. Fussy cut 2 small butterflies from papers and ink edges with black. Fussy cut large sunflower stem image from papers, ink edges with black and add as pictured using Scotch Mounting Tape. Stamp sunflower image on Solar White with Black Onyx Ink. Color 1 medium and 1 small flower with Wild Honey and Vintage Photo Distress Inks using make-up applicators. Spritz back of flowers with water and shape using Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit. When dry, glue medium flower over flower image. Die cut green ticket from designer papers and die cut with matching die from the Luggage and Tags Die. Ink edges with Peeled Paint Ink and add as pictured using Scotch Mounting Tape. Glue small flower to ticket. Make multi-loop bow with Black Burlap String and add as shown using Aleene's Fast Grab Tacky Glue. Glue butterflies as pictured. Add Black Microbeads to flower centers and butterfly bodies using Art Institute Glue.

For inside of card, create 1 1/4" pocket on left side using Scor-Tape. Cut a piece of designer paper with the Ornate Borders and Pockets Die, then cut black cardstock with the top edge only of that die. Trim each piece as pictured and glue together. Insert into card pocket.

For 2" flap on right side, cut second small jean pocket from designer papers, ink edges with Faded Jeans Ink and add using Scor-Tape leaving top of pocket open. Die cut the 4 oval label tags from the designer paper using the matching die from the Luggage and Tags Die. Fasten together using a brad. Make a mini multi-loop bow and add as pictured using glue dots. Tuck label tags into pocket.
