Be Joyful

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in EVERYTHING by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the PEACE OF GOD, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:4-7

These are verses I memorized years ago and they are written on my heart. There are times when I still need to remember not to be anxious, but I eventually listen to my heart saying these verses. I didn't really understand what the "peace of God" was until I experienced it. It's having peace inside you, even when you're going through heartbreaking situations and trials. It does "surpass ALL understanding" and you know it comes from GOD alone. Praise the Lord for His wonderful promises!

I love, love, love what I do. I am passionate about the things I create and the talents God has placed in me. I SO appreciate the time you take to look at my things and the comments you all leave me!

Blessings to you!

Heartfelt Creations Inspirations

Happy New Year everyone!

It's Wednesday, which means it's time for some inspiration from Heartfelt Creations! Today I have 2 cards to show you!  This first card is called "Ivory Asters".

I made this card ivory on ivory for the Color Challenge CC406 from Split Coast Stampers to use white on white or ivory on ivory. I used the Delicate Asters stamps and dies for this along with a sentiment from the Timeless Sentiment Set. When I first did this, it didn't show up in the photo very well, so I went back and sponged some Antique Linen and Wheat Inks to give it some depth. It looks much better in this photo here.

(Note: You can click on the pictures for a better view, and all the details are at the end of the post!)

My second card is a center step card I call "Roses in December"...

I have always loved this Bella Rose Vase Set and finally purchased it. I paired it with a flower made with sets from the Vintage Floret Collection and a sentiment from the Timeless Rosette Set. The mat behind the rose image is a journal block from the Timeless Amour Paper Collection, which I think is gorgeous and worked perfectly for the image.

On both my cards I used my new Decorative Labels 8 Dies...I just love these!!!

For more inspiration, please visit the HC Blog to see all the gorgeous creations by the design team this week!

I'm submitting these to the following challenges:

Color Challenge CC406 on SCS - Ivory on ivory - for my Ivory Asters Card
Word Art Wednesday Challenge #61 - Anything Goes
Really Reasonable Ribbon #63 - My New Toys + Ribbon - for my new Decorative Labels 8 Dies

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope I've inspired you in some way today!

Blessings!

Kathy

  3. Both of these cards are wonderful, Kathy. The softness of that first card really captured my attention - so sweet. But they both just amaze me. Have you ever thought of doing a bow-tying tutorial? Your bows always turn out so perfect.
